  2. Hyundai i10 is voted Car of the Year by UK Dealers Dealers praise its looks, build quality, refinement and warranty Prices for the New Generation i10 start from £8,595 OTR High Wycombe –The New Generation i10 has been awarded ‘Car of the Year’ at the 2014 Car Dealer Power awards. Voted for entirely by UK car dealers, the i10 triumphed over some tough competition from the likes of the popular Ford Fiesta ST and the Skoda Octavia. The dealers praised its looks, build quality, value for money, refinement and industry-leading five-year unlimited mileage warranty - that is helping to encourage repeat business. James Batchelor, editor of Car Dealer magazine, said: “I am absolutely delighted to name the outstanding Hyundai i10 as Car of the Year in our annual Car Dealer Power awards. Hundreds of UK dealers took part in this year’s survey which makes it the most comprehensive of its kind in the industry. Hyundai should take great comfort in knowing that this award has been voted for by dealer partners right across the UK - regardless of which franchise they represent.” Tony Whitehorn commented: The New Generation i10 is a hugely significant model for our business and it plays a substantial role in the hotly contested city car segment in the UK. i10 has been Hyundai UK’s best-seller since 2009, and New Generation i10 continues this trend. We have sold 12,170 units of the New Generation i10 since launch in January of this year and we are delighted that it, not only appeals to existing customers, but is also bringing some new customers to our brand. We can only thank our fantastic dealer network for getting behind the new model and for helping us to live up to our customers’ expectations.” The New Generation i10 is available from £8,595 OTR. 4. The New i10 has been awarded What Car?’s Best City Car award for the 4th consecutive year, holding off both a new challenge from the Suzuki Celerio and the established competition from the Skoda Citigo. Steve Huntingford, What Car? Editor said: “We have no hesitation in singling out the i10 as our winner: it’s cheap to buy and to run, comfy, and easy to drive in town. But it also has luxuries that you rarely get in this class, plus a five-year warranty. The i10 feels like a class above the rest, with the most room, the smartest interior and the smoothest engine. The i10 is a proper, grown-up car, not just a mere runaround, and that’s why it’s our favouritecity car.” The New i10 1.2 Premium SE also won “Best buy for more than £10,000”. Huntingford commented: “we recommend top-spec Premium SE trim, which now gets class-leading infotainment on a 7.0 inch touchscreen, sat-nav, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth and a DAB radio. You also get climate control, heated seats and a heated steering wheel – all on a city car. The rest of the i10 remains as appealing as ever.” Tony Whitehorn, President and CEO, Hyundai Motor UK said “Since its launch in 2014, i10 has continually received praise from both industry and buyers alike and has become one of the stalwarts of our range. For 2017, we have introduced New i10 which not only introduces a fresh new look but also brings technology to the segment that is usually only found in the classes above.”
  5. High Wycombe – The New Generation i10 has been recognised as the most popular City Car in the annual honestjohn.co.uk awards, as the most reviewed car in this class on the site over the last 12 months. The i10 has been honoured in the fourth year of the awards that recognise and reward the cars and vans that the honestjohn.co.uk users search for most on the site. Dan Harrison, editor, honestjohn.co.uk, said: “We were mightily impressed when we drove the new i10 and it seems our users are similarly as keen. Despite the review only going live towards the end of 2013, the amount of users viewing it has been nothing short of phenomenal. It has gone straight to the top in our list of city cars and we expect it to be similarly successful in the sales charts thanks to its blend of refinement, handling and quality – not to mention the usual Hyundai reliability and a five-year warranty.” The New Generation i10 – now built at Hyundai’s manufacturing facility in Izmit, Turkey − is currently the best-selling model in the Hyundai range in the UK. Since launch in January 2014, the new model has continued to build upon the success of the outgoing model with 10,000 cars sold far. Tony Whitehorn, President & CEO, said: “To receive this award for i10, the fifth accolade since we launched the new model earlier this year, is a testament to the continued popularity of the model here in the UK. The New Generation i10 has built upon its solid credentials of value, comfort and practicality with an injection of the style, refinement and specification that consumers would expect from the class above.” Prices for the New Generation i10 start from £8,495 OTR. 7. All-New Genesis and New Generation i10 awarded Product Design honours Recognition of Hyundai Motor’s design philosophy ‘Fluidic Sculpture 2.0’ Latest awards for newest models of the Hyundai line-up High Wycombe -- Hyundai Motor received two Red Dot Product Design Awards for its recently-launched All-New Genesis and New Generation i10 in the Vehicles category. The internationally acclaimed Red Dot Awards recognise aesthetic form, innovation and ground-breaking ideas. The two Hyundai winners were chosen from an entry list of 4,815 products from 53 countries. Byung SeobLee, Senior Vice President at Hyundai Design Centre, commented: “The Red Dot award is widely recognised as one of the world’s most prestigious design awards and to receive two is a real honour. Distinctive design is helping us attract new customers and develop strong connections with them. It is also the ultimate expression of what Hyundai offers – cars that are both good to drive and to look at. The All-New Genesis and New Generation i10 introduce ‘Fluidic Sculpture 2.0’, Hyundai Motor’s evolved design philosophy, which will be featured in all future Hyundai models.” This year’s influential Red Dot jury consisted of 37 experts from 24 countries, all independent qualified designers, university professors or journalists – and this year included design star Jimmy Choo for the first time. The selection of the Hyundai All-New Genesis and New Generation i10 marks the first Red Dot Design Award wins for production Hyundai models. Hyundai New Generation i10 features sleek and substantial lines which emphasise its naturally-athletic stance while All-New Genesis is defined by elegant proportions and clean lines that reflect its natural poise and driving dynamics. The Hyundai All-New Genesis and New Generation i10 will be celebrated at the traditional Red Dot Gala and subsequent Designers’ Night. A winners’ exhibition will present both cars to a wide audience from July 8 to August 3,2014, before they enter the museum’s permanent exhibition. Design is now the number one reason customers in Europe choose Hyundai cars. The Red Dot honour follows an iF Product Design Award 2014 for All-New Genesis. A range of awards have also been given to New Generation i10 since the car’s launch in late 2013, underscoring the car’s wide range of abilities and delivery of value beyond expectations.
