  1. Gearbox Issue Santa-Fe

70000 miles. Year December 2010. Oil not been changed before. Now been to automatic gearbox specialist who reckons it may be an electrical fault, possibly with the ABS system as when ABS fuse is removed the noise disappears. This fuse also controls other items. Been to an auto electrician who can't find any electrical fault after diagnostic and reckons it is mechanical and it could be because the ABS system is getting a signal causing it to default and possibly trying to engage 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive. Back to mechanic tomorrow for yet another test drive. Not sure if there is a clue in the fact that it doesn't seem to happen until driving for 10/15 miles / or until the engine has warmed up. Thanks for your reply and would be great if anyone else has encountered this problem as it is 4 months now without a definite cause or remedy.
